This book is amazingly true to its subtitle: "A Mother's Everyday Advice, Survival Tactics & Wisdom for Raising a Special Needs Child". Anne Addison walks you through the maze of that endless adventure starting from the point that you realize something is not just right with your child and ending at the point that you feel relatively more comfortable, sitting on some answers and some real progress is being made. Every chapter first tells her own experience with one aspect of the maze, and then summarizes the take home points. Since the subjective experiences and the take home points are printed on different color paper, you are able to read them as two separate books if you wish. The first one will speak to your heart, as the second one offers tons of practical tips.
